Challenge:
Poster for a My Brightest Diamond gig needs to be created. It must include all pertinent information and reflect the style of the musician. Format will be 18”x24”. Minimal text is provided and the design needs to do the talking - portraying the meaning of the album “A Million and One”.
Solution:
Colors and fonts reflecting the musician were chosen. These choices are bold, yet feminine. Information was arranged in a hierarchy that is most effective for gathering the necessary information. Graphics of pearls and oysters were drawn in Adobe Illustrator to reflect the song “A Million Pearls” from the album. A map of Detroit was placed in the background, as the album was inspired by the musician’s residence there.
